This unique sea glass piece has a thick crescent shape. It is a frosty golden yellow color with a deep red spot on the front surface. The swirled look originates from multiple colors of glass that were mixed together when in the molten stage. Whether the original glass was created as an artistic piece or was from an industrial bottle-works site, it has resulted in a multi-hued chunk that was discarded into the sea. The piece spent many decades thereafter in the surf being shaped and conditioned.
The North Sea has tumbled this piece into a smooth, well-conditioned gem. It has only a few unfrosted, small chips on the crescent side. It measures 7/8" long x 5/8" wide and is nearly 1/2" thick. The unique jewel was beachcombed along an ocean shore in England.
The sea glass will arrive with a card which tells the short story of sea glass and the name of the ocean it was beachcombed from. Dime in photo for size reference.
