True lemon yellow sea glass is one of the rarest colors on the planet. And in certain beach locations it can never be found. This is because yellow glass was historically manufactured for use in finer table ware pieces and Depression Era glassware.
Yellow bottles were almost never mass produced in the US, but quite a bit of table ware was. Many of the bright yellow sea glass that can be found is usually from more historic sites with older history.
Along Pacific shores (left), much of the yellow sea glass that has been found is usually nicely tumbled and rounded by the rugged shore and wave movement.
