The size, colors, and condition of this sea glass piece seem almost too good to be true, but it is genuine sea glass, picked up on a rocky North Sea shoreline in England. The rare multicolored gem contains layers of cobalt blues and frosted white with one gorgeous piece. It is large, thick, and oval shaped. It measures 1" long x 3/4" wide and 3/8" thick.
The swirled look originates from multiple colors of glass that were mixed together when in the molten stage. Whether the original glass was created as an artistic piece or was from an industrial bottle-works site, it has resulted in a multi-hued chunk that was discarded into the sea. The piece spent many decades thereafter in the surf being shaped and conditioned.
We have fit a sterling silver cinch band around the sea glass piece, creating a secure pendant. The setting allows both sides of the sea glass to be seen. It hangs on a sterling silver chain in your choice of length.
