This fabulously smooth, limey green UV sea glass piece glows brightly under a black light as seen here. The rare piece was probably once part of a beautiful, early 1900's "Vaseline Glass" tableware piece that was found years ago after decades of tumbling along a Pacific shore. The color which was created with trace amounts of Uranium Dioxide shows in natural light (photo #3) as a vibrant, key-lime color. When held to a black light the piece glows VERY brightly.
The sterling silver pendant was created by fitting the sea glass into the form and gluing it with a strong epoxy to hold it firmly in place. It features a hand hammered circular backplate in sterling silver. The design adds texture and highlights the sea glass. A simple and elegant design, it is quite a versatile necklace.
An attached sterling silver split ring holds the pendant to the chain. Total length of the pendant silver with rings is 3.5 cm and it will arrive on a sterling silver snake chain in your choice of length.
Your necklace will arrive in a cotton lined gift box with a card that tells the short story of sea glass and the name of the ocean where your piece was beach combed.
