These highly rare, Japanese fishing floats are historic and beautiful. They've each been hand picked from coastal, Pacific Ocean locales.
These are what we call "baseball size", or slightly larger. Each float measures approximately 3.25" across. At one time netting attached a string of floats to the fishing net which gave it buoyancy.
These floats occasionally break free from their nets, then travel a lifetime, catching a Pacific current or gyre and have eventually washed up on a (usually remote) West Coast shore.
Each is a beachy shade of greenish teal, and shows glass blowing bubbles, the pontil "button" and some original ocean pitting. These historic, highly collectible pieces are most often used in home decor, gardens, and more.
Your float will come with a gift card which tells the short description and history of the glass fishing floats.
