Wildly rare, this authentic, glass fishing float is historic and beautiful. It's been hand picked from coastal, Pacific Ocean beach. It has traveled a lifetime across the Pacific and Bering seas to land, intact on a West Coast shore.
This is what's called a "baseball size", so the float measures right about 3.25" across. At one time this uniquely colored float was attached to a fishing net and helped provide buoyancy for net. Occasionally a float comes free from the net and travels a long journey to land on a West Coast shore. We are able to confirm its authenticity from it's maker's markings, size, shape, color, location found, and from some of the ocean frosting on it's surface.
It is a unique shade of olive green in color and shows the original glass blowing bubbles, the pontil "button" and some original ocean frosting. You will receive one float per quantity ordered. Your float will come with a card which tells the short description and history of glass floats. These historical and rare relics are diminishing worldwide and sell out quickly.
Each is packaged carefully and securely in bubble wrap and boxed in sturdy cardboard, then shipped from the Pacific's US West Coast.
